Blanket Square for Benne
Here is a secret project I have been working on. It's a blanket square for a dear knitting friend of Elann, Benne. She just recently had surgery, and we thought she could use a communal hug in the form of a blanket. I think about a couple of dozen people participated, each contributing a piece of the finished blanket.
I am actually knitting the cardigan, Spring Forward, so making a square from the pattern was sheer pleasure. Also, because this square was part of a group project, knowing that it was going to someone so dear made it all the more special.
Pattern: Variation of a pattern from Janet Szabo's Spring Forward cardigan
Yarn: Elann Highland Wool, color 87M2, Red Maple
Amount Used: 135 yards (124 meters), 2.2 ounces (62 grams)
Needles: KnitPicks Options size 6 (4 mm)

Your square is gorgeous!!! And I know it looks better in real life because I knit my square with the same colorway.
