1/2 hour after a tornado swept through the area yesterday, just to the south of us. I'm not sure if the picture accurately depicts the orange glow to the scene, which permeated the air and sky. Luckily, we just had a thunderstorm with small hail, but Dexter wasn't so lucky.
100 homes were damaged, 1/2 of those severely, but no major injuries or fatalities. It's amazing that no one got hurt. I love my basement.
The colours during severe weather certainly are quite eerie. Glad to know that you and family were safe.

I thought of you when I heard the news of that tornado, and was relieved to learn that Ann Arbor had been spared (thank goodness for those hills to the west). We used to go to farms in the Dexter area for honey and apple cider, so their loss felt very personal.
