It's all about lights and Christmas magic....
...and helping Dad decorate by the light of a full moon in the sky,
...and getting scared 'cuz it's dark out,
...'cuz it looks just like Halloween, and the porch might have monsters on it, but you know it is Christmas and Santa is watching,
...and there is nothing to be afraid of, but then Mom says, "What's that noise?!",
...and then you go inside and have hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Very nice!

You've been busy here!
You're making good memories with your boys. Lots of fuel for "remember when..."
That Lillehammer sweater blows me away. Blows me. Right. Away. Okay, it looks giNORmous, but the detail. That would be a life's work for me, no doubt about it. I bow to the woman who knit that.
Too bad about your Lantern Moons. I had a very similar experience recently. I had bought a pair of 6mm rosewood LM's with birthday money, and my Pamir found the flaw immediately. The store is kinda far from where I live, but I managed to make it back there within a month. They hedged a bit, but finally swapped over my needles. I got ebony instead, and have knit with them. They are fine. A bit of a heart lurch at first, cuz goodness those cost $$.
